An Afternoon at the Flower Park

This morning, Grace and I drove to the Dallas Arboretum to check out all of the flowers that were blooming. We met our cousins, Cooper, Lincoln, Adam, Greta, and Levi there - all moms present and accounted for, of course. We started out the day by casually strolling through a bunch of flower gardens, but it didn't take long before the toddlers took over. We had had enough of the being strapped into our strollers, so we protested until we got our way...

Our next stop was this really splashy waterfall fountain. I really liked sticking my head under the water - I got soaked, but loved every minute of it!

I will definately be asking to come back here this summer! It was awesome!

We took a short intermission from the fun to have a light snack. (Mad props go out to Aunt Ginger for supplying the yummy graham crackers!)

They hit the spot! Afterwards, we ran and played in the grass, then strolled a little more.

We came across these deer statues. Here Grace and I are... We decided to ease up on our mom and actually sit still for long enough for her to capture it on film. Fat chance of that happening again ANY time soon though...
Here are a few pictures of me checking out the giant tulips - those suckers were huge! I have the sneaking suspicion that someday, when I bring home a girlfriend to meet my folks, that these pictures might surface again. Great. So much for my macho persona, right?
Say "Cheezzzzeee!!!"
My mom says that I'm such a little man...dang straight I am! Watch out mommas - I'll be chasing your daughters soon enough...
...But for now, I think it's safe to assume that I won't be catching them any time soon - my knees hurt too much. Check out my monster sized boo-boos...

Not Just Christmas - a Snow Day!

On Christmas morning, I woke up early, opened my presents from Santa, and glanced out the window. Everything was covered in snow! After expressing my sincere desire to go outside to play, my mom and dad bundled me up in my winter coat and new furry hat. Grace and I both refused to change out of our pj's, and insisted on immediate snow play. My sister was lucky enough to have a proper pair of gloves, but I, on the other hand, was not... Mom put socks over my hands - I rolled ghetto style!

We all made our marks in the snow - Austin even tried to help us make a snowman...

He's such an awesome big brother - he even dusted the snow off of my jammies so I wouldn't get too cold... When we were freezing, we all went inside and sat around the fireplace to warm up. For the rest of the day, Grace and I just played with our new toys.

All in all, I would have to say, it was a pretty perfect day. Presents, family, snow, play. What more could a Little Man ask for?

Pre-Christmas Pictures

It's been a while since my last post - Mom says its because she's been real busy with the holidays and daily life. Here are some pictures that she snapped of me and Grace a couple of days before Christmas. There were no presents under the tree yet - Mom says its because me and Grace would have ripped them open without hesitation.... Not me! No way! ...now, Grace, on the other hand... Take a look at her face and judge that for yourself! She was none too happy about the no-present thing. Me, I was just happy to marvel at the beautiful tree...

Grace's favorite thing to do lately is chase me around and tackle me, so I made sure to keep my distance from her. I don't get it...she can beat me up, but mom still says it's not nice to hit girls! G sure is lucky I was being good - I knew Santa was busy checking his list, so I just played it safe...
Who says that boys can't like sparkly and shiny things? I thought our tree was awesome! So what if nearly everything on it was glittered?

Oh yeah, almost forgot... I also wore Gracen's hat and scarf for this picture. It's ok, though. Real men don't only wear pink, they can also pull off lavendar, aqua, and purple too!
